Emily Dunlap serves as a Senior Staff Attorney with Advocating Opportunity. She opened AO's Columbus, Ohio office in 2015, where she continues to oversee daily operations. Emily provides direct legal services and advocacy to survivors of human trafficking. She represents survivors in a variety of legal matters including immigration, juvenile, domestic relations, expungement, and civil proceedings. She also provides technical consultation and training on anti-trafficking best-practices, court programming, and legislation.

Emily graduated from Ohio University with degrees in Sociology and Women & Gender Studies. She then received her J.D. from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 2014. Prior to joining Advocating Opportunity, Emily was The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law’s Greif Fellow in Juvenile Human Trafficking, where she represented child survivors of human trafficking in Safe Harbor juvenile diversion, civil matters, and immigration proceedings.
