For almost 20 years Kizzy Williams, MPH, LSW, has been working as a pioneer in the field addressing issues related to human trafficking and social justice. Recognized in 2018 as an Honorary Awardee for the Margery Fry Award and in 2015 as a Champion for Human Rights and Social Justice, Kizzy strives to be an advocate for the rights of trafficking victims and survivors all over. Kizzy began her work in this field with the Second Chance program, went on to co-found RISE (Recovering Individuals From Sexual Exploitation) through the Salvation Army of NWO, and joined Advocating Opportunity in 2016. Kizzy has presented in various conferences and panels including the International Human Trafficking & Social Justice Conference and the Ohio Human Trafficking Awareness Day presented by Ohio State Representative Teresa Fedor. Kizzy - through her direct service work, public speaking, and research efforts - continues to maintain and develop transformational relationships with those she serves as well as the community and its partners.
