Michelle joined AO as a staff attorney in the winter of 2022.  She was licensed and became a member of the Tennessee State Bar in January of 2021, after graduating from Nashville School of Law and taking the bar exam at the height of the pandemic. 

Michelle has a background in fine arts; she completed a Master’s in Fine Art from the Vermont College in Montpelier and a Visual and Critical Studies Master’s program at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She earned her Bachelor’s degree at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle. While she hails from northwest Washington State, Nashville is the home she most loves.

Michelle's legal experience is primarily in family law.  She is quite at home working in domestic practice as she’s been through this process as a client herself. She understands that being listened to and understood is sometimes the most important thing an attorney can give you and truly believes a fresh start is waiting for you on the other side of it all.
