Roxy Mahtani relocated to Nashville from Los Angeles in 2021. She became passionate about working in anti-human trafficking because of the personal experience of a close family member being exploited. Roxy's interest in advocacy grew after working as a Human Trafficking Advocate for ZOE International, where she advocated for commercially sexually exploited children. She loved seeing survivors thrive through art and dance, and admires the resiliency of survivors she has walked alongside.

In Los Angeles, Roxy also worked in the LA Dream Center’s residential home for human trafficking survivors, and then with After Hours doing outreach and providing resources primarily to women working in the area. She graduated from the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago in 2018 with a B.A. in Ministry to Victims of Sexual Exploitation. She desires to see all survivors find holistic healing and believes there is a lot to learn from them about how to make that a reality.
