2022 in review
At Advocating Opportunity we believe people deserve support with dignity. If we want to end human trafficking we need to focus on supporting individuals. That’s why AO services are entirely within the control of each individual client. We work with each client, as partners and co-creators, as they reorganize their lives and work toward healing. Meeting clients where they are and walking beside them throughout this journey is what we do.
The data shared here marks some of the milestones achieved along those journeys of healing. These are some of their successes and things they are proud of accomplishing.
However, what you won’t see is the path between these markers - from the small moments, to the enormous amount of work and effort, joy and pain, triumph and success, and patience and perseverance our clients have poured into their journeys.
Over the coming year, AO will keep working with our clients to tell their stories in an ethical manner. We believe it is important to celebrate their individual journeys in a way which respects their privacy, dignity, and independence, and leaves the ultimate decision to share more intimate details to them.
