Michael Melfi is a Client Advocate at AO, where he began working in June 2024. He holds a degree in History and Religious Studies from Indiana University and has spent much of his career in the non-profit sector. His experience includes years of dedicated service supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and managing charity programs in a hospital setting as a pharmacy technician. Working directly with underserved populations, Michael has helped individuals access vital care, including securing life-saving medications during his time in a hospital setting. He brings expertise in trauma-informed care, case management, and navigating healthcare systems, using these skills to advocate for marginalized communities. Michael is deeply committed to addressing systemic inequality and strives to create lasting change through his work, guided by his passion for social justice, harm reduction, and empathy in meeting people’s needs.
