Takara holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Social Work, both earned with honors from The University of Toledo. Graduating in 2011, she focused on mental health during her Master's program. Takara's professional journey includes impactful roles, starting with internships at the University of Toledo's Sexual Assault Program and Second Chance. Following her internships, she briefly contributed to the Second Chance team.

Subsequently, Takara transitioned to Unison, where she dedicated her efforts to the well-being of women and children. Before joining AO, she devoted 8.5 years to the Northwest Ohio Psychiatric Hospital (NOPH), progressively taking on responsibilities as the Client Advocate and contributing to both civil and forensic units.

Takara's extensive experience reflects a passion for aiding survivors of trauma. Her vision involves cultivating meaningful relationships within the community that align with her commitment to supporting vulnerable populations.
